About

Hi! I am Trisha Chauhan-Baiden. I’m a Life and Empowerment Coach and Founder of Level Up London.

Through one-to-one coaching, group coaching workshops and community events I work with Women of Colour and Allies to create purposeful lives and careers outside of social conditioning. By working with me, you will experience transformative growth, an increased sense of purpose and the tools to equip to stay accountable after our sessions together.

A bit about me:

I was born and raised in Watford, Hertfordshire. My background is Indian, Gujarati and my parents were both born in Kenya before migrating here in the 60’s and 80’s. I have two degrees in History and International Relations (Bsc.) and a Masters of Science in Human Rights and Human Values and Diploma in Life Coaching. I am a member of the Association for Coaching.

Coming from an Indian background my degrees were not the norm and I struggled for a long time to find my place in the world, what I wanted to do and how I could make a career out of my degree. I fell into the International Development sector, again very much against the norm in my culture (business; finance; lawyer, doctor, engineer….).

Early on in my career as a Woman of Colour I struggled to find mentors or role models in the workplace and beyond. It felt like I couldn’t really connect with senior staff members and often felt like my voice wasn’t heard. Mansplaining was real. I couldn’t see myself in certain roles and for a long time, I didn’t know I could get there. Aside from this, my traditional, cultural values often conflicted with the world I was living in - working and living in Central London, in a mixed race relationship, living together before marriage and travelling the world. I struggled with my goals vs. the expectation and pressures of who and what I should be. I struggled to really show up as myself.

2 years ago I discovered life coaching and it allowed me to reframe a lot of my self-conditioning. Through working with a life coach as well as studying for my life coaching diploma, I was able to learn about myself; develop a self-awareness that allowed me to uncover my limiting beliefs, understand myself better and work towards goals that I knew were the right ones for me, outside of the expectation of everyone else.

Level Up London was birthed out of honing my skills as a coach, my lived experience as a woman of colour and recognising the unique challenges we face and my years of experience prior to this in the international development sector where my commitment to making an impact is what drives me to make an impact in your life. When I say a safe space, of course I mean a psychologically safe space but I also mean a space where you can speak in “shorthand”. Those of us from first or second generation immigrant backgrounds know how often we have to explain or over-explain why we do things. Here, I get it.

Please get in touch if you’re ready to gain clarity on your next steps and harness your power to create transformative growth in your lives.
